iPhone Development in Vancouver

Now that 2009 is up and running I would like to remind everyone that the Vancouver iPhone Developers' Group is getting ready to start our second season.

I'm on the lookout for ideas for venues, tutorials and guest speakers. If you know anyone who would like to give a technical talk on the iPhone, please get in touch with me. I am also interested in speaking with anyone willing to donate space or loan us AV equipment for presentations (especially projectors). So far everything has been by donation on the part of the attendees. It's worked well, but I would like to have a chance to give everyone a bit more notice of what's happening in the future.

While the focus of the group is technical (there are already several business networking groups in Vancouver), we encourage anyone with an interest in iPhone development to attend. Software development these days takes a lot more than writing code. If you've got ideas for visualization and design we especially encourage you to attend. We hope this group is essential for anyone looking to meet talented developers in Vancouver.

You can sign up for the Google Group here:

There is also a Facebook group but you need to be in the Vancouver network to join.

Please watch this space and make sure you join the online groups if you're interested in following what we are doing.
